What Information is collected?
When making a booking
In order to make a booking we collect the following information:
- Full name of lead passenger
- Full names of other passengers travelling with you
- Date of birth of all passengers
- Your address
- Your email address
- Your contact telephone number
- Your credit or debit card details
You consent to the collection, processing, storing and use of your personal data to enable us to perform your holiday. This may include providing your details to Governments, immigration, airlines, ferry operators, accommodation providers and other competent authorities and/or as may be required by law.
We may process your personal information given our legitimate interest in advising you of additional products or services that we believe may enhance your holiday experience. This may include (but not limited to) informing you of opportunities such as excursions, car hire, transfers and travel insurance.
The above information must be provided in order to make your booking and refusal to provide the required information or the withdrawal of consent will result in the failure to provide our travel and accommodation booking services.
You have the right to see the information that we have about you and to receive this information in a format suitable for data portability. This information can be provided either as a PDF (Portable Document Format) or as a Text (.txt) file.
You may also exercise your right to be forgotten at any time, providing your travel has been completed and there are no outstanding balances on your account. This will delete all records of your personal data from our systems and will no longer be retrievable.
The processes of requesting your data or activating the deletion of your data can be performed by calling us on 01534 496600 and requesting your personal data.
For security reasons, personal data can only be sent to the email or postal address associated with your booking.
Retention of data provided during the booking process
If you have opted-out of marketing communications, all data will be automatically removed from our booking systems and marketing databases 180 days after the completion of your travel, providing there are no outstanding balances on your account. Once your data has been removed it is no longer accessible using the above methods or by us internally.
If you have opted-in to receive marketing communication during the booking process, your data and booking history will be held on file for a period of up to ten years, or until you change your marketing preferences or ask for your data to be deleted.
When you provide credit card details to make a transaction, once the purchase has been authorised, your card details are no longer stored in full or accessible by us. Our website uses secure encryption technology to ensure that your payments are safe.
We work closely with global ratings and review provider Feefo for JerseyTravel.com, GuernseyTravel.com, FlyDirect and Bontour, in order to gather and publish feedback on your holiday experience. Your email address, return travel date and choice of accommodation (if booked) are provided securely to www.feefo.com and you will receive an email following your return from holiday with a request to review our product and service. If you choose to submit a review it will be published on our website and on feefo. Published feedback does not contain any personal information and you can choose to remain anonymous should you prefer. In the event of our insolvency we, or any appointed insolvency practitioner, may disclose your personal information to the CAA, and/or ABTA so that they can assess the status of your booking and advise you on the appropriate course of action under any scheme of financial protection.
